The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Trinamool Congress of abusing the judicial process out of political desperation after the Supreme Court on Saturday (May 2, 2026) refused to interfere with the Calcutta High Court’s decision to send central government officials to count votes in West Bengal.
In a press conference, MP and BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the violence-free elections in the state had created anxiety in the Trinamool.
