Rohit Sharma’s recovery under surveillance
The former MI captain has been sidelined since April 12 after suffering a hamstring injury during a home match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Since then, Rohit has been steadily working his way back and has appeared in several clean sessions in recent days.At the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday, the 38-year-old was present for training but refrained from batting. Instead, he focused on light warm-ups and running drills under the supervision of the support staff, followed by a long discussion on the sidelines before leaving the field. While his gradual progress is a positive sign, MI seem wary of propelling him back into match action.
Suryakumar is conducting intense preparations
In case of Rohit’s potential absence, the focus shifted to Suryakumar Yadav, who had an extended practice session on the eve of the match.
