Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received ₹12.10 crore in donations in 2025-26, a 68 percent drop from the previous year, according to official filings submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
About 83 percent of the amount came from the Prudent Electoral Trust and Trident Limited, a company founded by former party MP Rajinder Gupta, according to a party filing. message election commission, the news agency PTI first reported about it.

Ashutosh Ranka, now co-convenor of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and former AAP spokesperson, donated ₹21,100 to the party in 2025-26 before taking up his role in the CJP.
The CJP, which recently led to massive protests over the NEET paper leaks at Jantar Mantar, has often been associated with the AAP. Apart from Rank’s contribution, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke was also associated with AAP’s social media team a few years back.

Prudent and Trident each gave ₹5 crore to AAP. The remaining contributions totaled approx ₹2.10 crore, the report said.
The Prudent Electoral Trust is the wealthiest electoral trust in the country. About 90 percent of corporate donations to political parties come through this Trust, which was earlier known as the Satya Electoral Trust.
Trident Limited (often mentioned in the news along with the Prudent Electoral Trust) is a prominent legal entity in India that frequently appears in political finance disclosures. Punjabi textile and manufacturing conglomerate Trident Limited was founded by Rajinder Gupta.
Gupta was elected to the Rajya Sabha on an AAP ticket in October 2025.
Trident ₹5 million check was dated January 9, 2026, when Gupta was in the party led by Arvind Kejriwal. He joined the BJP in April this year.
₹38.10 crore in contributions in 2024-25
This was reported by the AAP agency ₹38.10 crore in contributions in 2024-25, more than three times ₹In 2023-24, it reported 11.06 million crowns. Prudent was its largest donor in 2024–25 when it gave ₹16.40 million crowns.
The latest filing is for the first full financial year since the AAP lost power in Delhi in February 2025. The party continues to rule Punjab, home to Trident.

Party chief Arvind Kejriwal is listed against three posts ₹10,000 each. Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi made 12 payments ₹3500 each, total ₹42,000 while Punjab AAP president Aman Arora is listed against 12 payments ₹10,000 each, in total ₹1.20 million.
