Dipke was seen on camera being slapped during a similar protest in Jaipur on Monday, while his supporters later carried him on their shoulders, police said, as reported by PTI.
Dipke has already reached Nagpur. On Monday, he called upon the people of Nagpur, including students and youth, to assemble at Samvidhan Square at 4 pm for a peaceful demonstration.
The CJP had demanded Pradhan’s resignation over the NEET (UG) paper leak scandal last month.
Strict security measures
Elaborate security arrangements are being made in view of the protest planned by the Cockroach Janata Party at Samvidhan Chowk, officials were quoted as saying by news agencies.
Ahead of the demonstration scheduled for the afternoon, Dipke, who was allegedly slapped several times by two men in Jaipur on Monday, will address a press conference at 12 noon, according to organizers.
Police expect the participation of more than 2,000 young people in the demonstration. Activists from Nagpur city and several districts of Vidarbha are expected to gather at Samvidhan Chowk after calls were sent out on social media.
In view of the expected crowd, police have beefed up security at key places in Nagpur, the official said.

He said the security deployment includes four DCPs, three ACPs, 18 police inspectors, 45 APIs and sub-inspectors, 470 men and 170 constables. Two Riot Control Platoon (RCP) units were also kept on alert as a precaution.
Fully prepared to handle the situation: Police officers
Commissioner of Police Ravindrakumar Singal said that the police is fully prepared to handle the situation.
“Everyone has the right to protest peacefully. However, any attempt to break the law, create a disturbance or disrupt public peace will not be tolerated. Anyone found breaking the law will be dealt with severely,” he said.
Meanwhile, traffic police have announced detours on several major roads, including Samvidhan Chowk, Variety Chowk, Zero Mile and Sitabuldi.
