Delhi Weather: IMD issues red alert as rain lashes parts of city | Today’s news

Rain lashed parts of Delhi on Friday and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the next few hours as moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in many areas, PTI reported.

Some parts of the city, including central Delhi, received light to moderate rain.

The IMD said many areas are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall in the next few hours. Due to the forecast, its current broadcast has declared a red alert at the district level.

Meteorologists said that Delhi may also experience light to moderate rain in the evening. Rain activity is likely to continue across the capital for the next two days, till Sunday.
