Comparing healthcare facilities in the states and India, he claimed a huge difference based on his personal experience. In short, he praised India’s healthcare system, saying, “America has literally punished you for being sick.”

User Yuvaan Ibañez Garware, who claims to be from Seattle, shared on Instagram that he will be moving to India. He was previously in Pune for 16 years while growing up.
In the video, the 23-year-old said, “I’m moving from America back to India because of one word: healthcare. Let me explain with two simple examples, one in India and one in the US.”
Healthcare in India
He recalled a time when he was briefly admitted for basic treatment in India. He said he was admitted to a private room with access to a doctor. He also underwent a thorough examination, diagnosis and treatment which cost him around US$500 or ₹47,690.25.
“I fainted several times in India a few years ago. They rushed me to the hospital and immediately got a private room with zero paperwork. They did everything – EKG, MRI, CT, blood tests. I could even talk to the doctor whenever I wanted. After a few days, they gave me a clear diagnosis of what happened and a proper treatment plan. The total bill for all of this was $500,” he shared.

Healthcare in the US
Yuvaan Ibañez Garware further argued that there is a marked disparity in healthcare in the US. He said he suffered a minor heart attack in the US; however, he could not call an ambulance because of the high charges. He even shared his ordeal at the hospital, which delayed his diagnosis only to find he couldn’t contact his doctor immediately.

“Now fast forward to America. I was playing basketball when I suddenly got terrible chest pain. I couldn’t call an ambulance because it costs thousands of dollars here, so I literally had to drive myself to the hospital, I drove in pain, and when I arrived I had to wait over an hour and a half in the waiting room for them to process my form and paperwork. Once I finally got in, they told me I had a mini heart attack.”
The user added that he was not offered a clear diagnosis or follow-up plan. The total bill in the US reached around $23,000, which is approx ₹21,93,751.50 in India. Although he said he had health insurance, he paid around $7,000 ( ₹6,67,663.50), as charged by the hospital.
“They shoved me in a room and started doing tests and every time I asked to see a doctor they told me he was too busy and would come later. Plus the nurse missed my vein so many times while drawing blood that I screamed and told me to shut up because I was too loud. After days of all these things, what was the bottom line? They sent me home and we don’t know how it’s going to turn out? It was $23,000 even with premium insurance, for that I was paying thousands of dollars to, I had to pay $7,000 out of pocket.”
“Sure, the weather is great, the infrastructure is great, but that’s why I’ll never settle here,” he concluded.
