Zypp CEO Impressed With Taxi Driver’s ₹1,000 Monthly Income, Calls Him ‘Gig Entrepreneur’ | Watch Viral Video | Today’s news

Zypp electric founder and CEO Akash Gupta shared a video on social media that went viral. In the video, Akash Gupta interviewed a taxi driver who said that he had even tried his hand at the job before starting the current mode of self-employment. Fascinated by a taxi driver’s salary, he called him a gig entrepreneur – the face of India’s new and emerging middle class. This video has accumulated more than 5.97 thousand views, 25.7 thousand likes and several comments.

The caption for the Instagram post reads: “Bharat ka naya middle class – gig entrepreneur. This is why the gig economy matters. They’re not just delivery partners. They’re micro-entrepreneurs building an income on their own terms. This is Bharat’s next middle class.”

When Akash Gupta asked about the driver’s previous salary and current income, the taxi driver revealed that he used to earn 25,000 a month earlier but now his cumulative income is as high as 1 lakh. Zypp’s CEO called the self-employed taxi driver an entrepreneur and explained that his 10 hours of work a day would pay off. 3000-4000. He praised the drivers for the impressive numbers and said that service delivery is a business.

“You are an entrepreneur… an entrepreneur works for himself, builds his startup, builds his business. This is your business… this is your business… car, horse, scooter,” Akash Gupta is heard saying in Hindi in the video.
