Kusha Kapila hits back at viral posts linking her with Samay Raina: ‘Stop minimizing women’ | Today’s news
Actress and influencer Kusha Kapila has strongly rejected social media claims linking her with comedian Samay Raina, terming the posts as “fake and planted”, saying they were created to spread misinformation and tarnish her image.
On July 12, Kusha shared screenshots of the posts on her Instagram Stories and claimed that one of the pictures circulating online was digitally altered to falsely show her with Samay Raina.
Viral posts claimed that Kusha met Samay and convinced him to invite her to his popular show India’s Got Latent. They also claimed she was spending time with the comedian, despite previously criticizing him for jokes she described as “insensitive”.
One of the posts further described Kusha as “a woman who can change herself for money and fame”. It also featured a photograph of Samay with a woman, which Kusha claimed had been doctored by replacing the original female face with hers.

Kusha claims the AI-edited images are used to spread misinformation
In response to the claims, Kusha accused those behind the posts of using AI to alter her image and questioned the motive behind such content.
“Fake and planted. My face is altered by AI. Why would anyone spend money on this? How the incel internet will go down to minimize me is laughable (sic) at this point,” she wrote on Instagram.
In another Instagram Story, she said she wanted to address each claim individually rather than allow misinformation to spread unchecked.
“Let’s check it out one by one because I don’t have the time or patience to make a plan to break it down. Let’s do it calmly and with reason. This is not e-lafda but just how the incel internet will go to the pits to minimize women. This is all happening because I take a stand and still will lol,” she wrote.
‘We are not friends’: Kusha clarifies her equation with Samay Raina
Kusha also addressed her past differences with Samay Raina and admitted that she blocked him after he made what she described as “insensitive” jokes about her.
She said she was deeply upset by the remarks at the time and believed the incident should never have happened.
Clarifying the current status of their relationship, Kusha said that they are not friends but both have moved on from the controversy. She also denied the viral claims, saying that she has never appeared on India’s Got Latent and is “not on the phone” with Samay.

The fallout that started after the comedy in 2024
The controversy dates back to The Pretty Good Roast Show, hosted by comedian Ashish Solanki in 2024.
During the roast, Samay Raina made several jokes about Kusha Kapil, including comments related to her divorce from Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia. The remarks drew criticism online, with Kusha later saying that the jokes crossed several lines and felt “dehumanizing”. She blocked Samay Raina and Ashish Solanki on Instagram after the episode.
Months later, Samay admitted the fallout during a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, saying that even though the two were no longer as close and rarely spoke, he still cared about Kush and wished her the best of luck.

At the start of 2025, their equation seemed to ease. Samay gave Kush a friendly mention on India’s Got Latent and the two were later reportedly seen together at several social gatherings.
However, Kush’s latest statement makes it clear that she rejects the recent viral claims linking her to the comedian, claiming that the circulating posts are fabricated and accusing online trolls of using AI-generated content to spread misinformation.
