Honeymoon bus: Railways reacts to viral video of first air-conditioned cabin decorated with balloons, flowers — ‘Serious outage’ | Today’s news

The honeymoon bus went viral after a video purportedly showed the first AC train cabin of the Indian Railways heavily decorated with balloons and flowers. Authorities recently responded to the viral video, claiming the edit was “unauthorized” and a “serious mistake.”

South Central Railway on Wednesday issued a statement on X regarding the Nandigram Express train coach issue. “A couple traveling in Train No. 11002 Nandigram Express on July 6, 2026, privately hired a decorator online to decorate their 1st AC compartment. The entry of the decorator into the coach at Jalna station was unauthorized and is considered a serious misconduct,” the statement said, condemning it as a grave violation.

Confirming that strict action has been taken in the case, she added: “The concerned employee has been suspended and a detailed departmental investigation has been ordered. Appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.” According to an NDTV report, Senior Ticket Inspector Girish Kumar was on duty at the time.

The Central Railway further stated that the decorator is booked for unauthorized entry into the train, traveling without a ticket and trespassing as per the existing provisions of the Railways Act.

How a decorator from Maharashtra transformed a train car into a romantic setting

A video on social media shows how the compartment of train number 110002 was transformed into a romantic setting while the train was in operation. Decorated with balloons, floral arrangements and thousands of rose petals, the cabin displayed the message “I love you” on the folded top bunk.

The video, originally shared by Maharashtra-based company Rahat Room Decoration, begins with a shot of the exterior of the train on the platform with the doors open. Organizers behind the preparations said the cottage was booked for a newly married couple from Jalna. According to the Jalna-based decoration service provider, the couple traveled by car from Aurangabad to Jalna railway station while their team decorated the train compartment in advance. The couple later boarded a Chennai-bound train at Jalna station.

A pink beaded curtain with heart-shaped cutouts decorated the entrance to the particular compartment, while the ceiling was covered with numerous red and white balloons. The romantic setting featured a thickly carpeted floor with red rose petals, bouquets of colorful flowers (including roses, marigolds and tuberose) and garlands arranged on the walls and near the windows and several LED lights.

The bottom bunk showcased a heart-shaped floral arrangement on a neatly made bed with white sheets. The original video posted on Instagram, which was re-shared on various social media platforms, has been removed.
