US intercepts Iranian missiles

US Central Command said all the missiles had been successfully intercepted and US forces remained “vigilant”. Axios, citing a US official, reported that the missiles were aimed at a US base in Jordan.
Oman pushes for Hormuz proposal, US rejects tolls
Diplomatic efforts over the Strait of Hormuz continued as Oman submitted a Gulf-backed proposal to Iran to jointly manage the strategic waterway, including a system of voluntary contributions for ships using the route, Reuters reported. However, the US official rejected any arrangement regarding tolls or transit fees, insisting that the strait is an international waterway that must remain open and free of Iranian restrictions.
Saudi Arabia shot down drones; The Houthis have claimed an attack in the Red Sea
Regional tensions rose after Saudi Arabia said it intercepted and destroyed several drones targeting oil facilities in the Eastern Province, blaming Iran-backed militias operating from Iraq. Meanwhile, Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis claimed they fired ballistic missiles at a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea for violating their newly declared naval blockade. Separately, Britain’s Maritime Trade Operations agency reported that the tanker heard an explosion while passing through the southern Red Sea, although no casualties or damage were reported.
Trump warns of more strikes as Iran rules out new talks
US President Donald Trump said talks with Iran were continuing but warned that Washington was ready to resume military strikes if diplomacy failed. But Iran has denied seeking new talks with the United States and accused Washington of violating the framework agreement reached last month. The conflict, sparked by US-Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28, continues to fuel instability across the region, with the Strait of Hormuz remaining a key flashpoint.
