Trump threatens to sue ABC News for covering pool coverage, claims Biden admin wanted to spend $100 million | Today’s news
US President Donald Trump on Monday (local time) criticized and threatened to sue ABC News for its coverage of vandalism incidents at the Reflecting Pool in Washington.
Trump made these remarks in a Truth Social post, writing: “In describing the vandalism that occurred at the Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, ABC FAKE NEWS, one of the worst in the business, even paid me $16,000,000 for past bad and inaccurate reporting, did not report that their close “friends”, Dumocrats it Obama and Million 10sol spent for Million a Dollar Biden never worked.”
He went on to attack former President Joe Biden and the “Dumocrats,” writing, “It’s actually rarely been open because of the leaks and the ‘stink.’ They wanted to spend $300 to $400 million, but they left it NOW. I spent about $16 million and it worked out great, except for the vandalism, which we are now fixing. It was also a much bigger job than originally anticipated, including exterior areas and sidewalks.”
The US president went on to write that his administration is preparing lawsuits against ABC News for its false reporting, adding: “I like their money that will be given to the US Treasury.”
This is a developing story. Further details were awaited.
