On Thursday (March 27, 2025), the Pandjab Police claimed that drug supply in the streets had decreased after the intervention in the ongoing anti -drug war after the procedure, although the police have now followed the “big fish” in the Pandjába narcotics.
Gaurav Police CEO has said that the police have now focused on the dismantling of drug networks at a high level by focusing on “large fish”, including drug suppliers and the king that powered narcotics in the state.

He said that the Anti-Drugs campaign, launched by the Government of March 1, resulted in arresting 4,142 drugs with drugs after registration 2,384 first information reports (FIRS) throughout the state. This led to recovery of 146.3 kg of heroin, 85.3 kg opium, 19.95 quintals poppy peel, 7.69 lakho intoxic tablets and 5.83 GBP money money from possession of drug smugglers.
DGP added that the allusion to the success of the Defense Committees (VDCS) committees (VDCS) is now now ready to create “Mohalla Committees” in urban areas in their reinforced drugs against drugs. In particular, VDC, which consist of credible and prominent persons of border villages, worked as eyes and police ears, complementing the Police of Pandjab’s efforts to erase from Pandjab.
“Given that VDCS has strengthened the rural police in border areas, the committees will seize the city community to combat the drug threat,” he said.
