
Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Loket laid a stone for the Edge Data Center driven by AI and on Sunday in Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam.
The NDA government led in the state has undertook to develop Visakhapatnam as a financial capital Andhra Pradesh and by 2047 to make it an economy of a trillion dollar, said the Minister of Information Technology of Nara Loket.
“One of the main capital and decentralized development is the access of the state government,” said Loket 12 October 2025 (Sunday).
The minister was in the city to participate in various programs, including the project of the data center in Rushikonda. He laid a stone for the first 50-MW Ai-Dishable Edge Data Center and an open cable landing station in Rushikonda, which was established by Sify Infinit Spaces limited in two phases to 3.6 acres of land with an investment of 1,500 crore.
After laying the stone Mr. Loket said: “If Hyderabad lasted 30 years, Visakhapatnam will last 10 years. Visakhapatnam will receive the largest direct foreign investment (direct foreign investment) in India’s history.
“When IT companies came to Hyderabad at the age of 90, Chief Minister N. Chandrababa Naida built cyber tower. Hyderabad has evolved for more than 30 years before evolving.
“People have chosen us to our policy of one main capital of the state and decentralization of development. We have gained 94% of seats. People gave a clear majority for effective management, job creation and Visakhapatnam’s financial capital,” he added.
“People from Visakhapatnam have always been with TDP. Although we lost in the state and else in 2019, people from Visakhapatnam were with us. When Hudhud intervened in 2014, the city suffered a lot.
Investment flow
“More than 50% of the $ 120 billion in Andr Pradesh’s investment has come to Visakhapatnam Economic Region in the last 17 months. The largest steel plant in the country comes to the Visakhapatnam area. The largest direct foreign investment in India’s history comes to Visakhapatnam.”
“As shown in Super Six promises, our main goal is to create 20 lakh jobs. In Visakhapatnam we create 5 lakh IT jobs,” Loking said.
