Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari has been named TDP national general secretary while other leaders from Kurnool, Nandyal and Anantapur districts have also been named in the party’s national and state committee announced on Wednesday.
Ms. Shabari becomes the first female leader to be appointed as the National General Secretary of the party. The MP, who is also a doctor by profession, is currently the first-time deputy floor leader in the Lok Sabha and has expressed the party’s stand on various issues in debates in Parliament. She is the daughter of senior leader Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy.
