Tahsildars and sub-registrars should be more humane: Ponguleti
Hyderabad
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed the Tahsildars and Sub-Registrars to make a visible change in their functioning and end the practice of people running from pillar to post to solve their problems.
Reviewing the functioning of the Revenue, Registration, Survey and Housing Department in the erstwhile Nalgonda district, he said that every application related to land issue should be considered with a positive attitude and disposed of at the earliest. Officials should pay special attention to pending applications and face strict action for negligence, he warned.
The minister said that the revenue officials are responsible for the effective implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act.
Resurvey by the end of October
He directed officials to give top priority to the first phase of the nationwide resurvey and complete it by the end of October. Preparations for the second phase, which is proposed to begin in December, should begin immediately.
He directed the officials to ensure a transparent re-survey in the 70 villages covered in the first phase and fix the village boundaries firmly.
