Padma Bhushan Kannada novelist and philosopher SL Bhyrapa died as a result of cardiac arrest at Rashtrotthan Hospital in Bengalur in Karnataka on Wednesday, September 24th. He was 94 years old.
In her statement, the Rashtrotthana Hospital said that the writer Padma Shri died at 14:38 pm after suffering cardiac arrest. In 2015, SL Bhyrappa won the Sahitya Academy Award. Saraswati Samman also received in 2011.
Bhyrappa was also known for “Vamshavriksha”, “Daat”, “Parva”, “Mandar”, among other things, and most of his work was translated into English and other languages.
His works such as “Naayi-Cheral”, “Matadana”, “Vamshavriksha”, “Tabbaliyu Neenaade Magane”, were created into films and “Grukabhang” and “Grukabhang” and “Daat”.

Former Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy said that the report of completion of Bhyrapa came as a shock. He said, “The report of the disappearance of a prominent novelist and Padma Bhushan award, Shri SL Bhyrapa, who changed the way of perception and reading Mahabharata and Ramayana through his novels Parva and Uttarakand, came as a simple shock.”
