Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) launched a project to increase the ground level and renovate the bus terminal complex within the 1.50 Crore project.
Of this, Crore 1 Crore came from the Social Responsibility Funds (CSR) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and 50 Lakh from the Development Fund of MLA TJ Vinod. Renovation work is expected to be completed in the next 10 months. After many decades, the authorities have been released into the event, after unprecedented outrage on social media and other platforms over intensive waterlogging and clumsy state of premises, official sources said.
“As part of this, the work began to connect the outflows and then raise the soil to prevent contamination in the bus stand and garage. This will follow the wall structure to prevent water from the neighboring channel, seal the leak in the terrace of the bus building and extending the backrest. Danes for assembly, and it will be a wet, and the drain will be given, and the drain is added.
The agency was at the receiving end of the public inspection above the shabby condition of the Ernakula Bus Complex complex and its space, which was watering even after a short magic of rain.
Although the Ernakulam Bus stand and mobility spaces remain poorly maintained, bus terminals in the suburbs get a picture. In this framework, in Kothamangalam in the suburb of Kochi, a new bus terminal complex of 10,000 square feet and equipped with reserved bus bays spread out. It is built using the 2.50 GBP Crore from the Antony John Asset Development Fund, MLA, which represents the region. Another £ 46 lakh was subsequently assigned to this purpose. The project will also be prepared a parking yard of buses.
