Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said strong evidence of vote-stealing in Haryana released by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday was shocking and cast serious doubt on the authenticity of BJP’s recent electoral victories.
“Horror #HaryanaFiles: people’s mandate stolen by BJP. Strong evidence released by my brother Rahul Gandhi is shocking,” he said.
“BJP came to power in 2014 on hate propaganda and false promises. Since then people have lost faith in its divisive politics. Now, going beyond electoral malpractices, they are manipulating electoral rolls and stealing people’s mandate as it has come to light,” Stalin said in a post on X.
“What follows is even more disturbing, the organized disenfranchisement of citizens under the guise of Special Intensive Revision. Bihar is proof, as is the explosive Haryana Files revealed today,” he said.
“It is painful that the Election Commission of India, which is supposed to be an independent body and function with the hard-earned money paid as taxes by the people of this country, has not offered any explanation to the citizens in spite of such a huge amount of evidence released so far,” Stalin said.
“Will it answer the people and revive the belief that democracy in India is not yet completely buried,” he asked.
