Koo-operative sugar mill Kallakurichi planned to crush 3.25 lakh tons of sugar cane during the crushed season of 2025-26.
According to a press release, sugar cane was registered at 9,300 acres and the authorities planned to crush 3.25 lakh tons of sugar cane in the current season.
For 2024-25, 3.09 Lakh tons of sugar cane were obtained from 3,790 farmers in the district. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ care announced the price of the 349 GBP support price for a ton for a stick. A cumulative deposit of 10.5 crore was credited to the farmers’ bank accounts.
