Thampanoor police have arrested a 34-year-old man accused of duping a native of Neyyattinkar of ₹90,000.
The suspect has been identified as Deepu of Nemom. Police said Deepu told a youth that he was a constable employed at the Thampanoor police station and that once he resigned, he would arrange for the job to go to the youth for a payment of ₹90,000. Arrested by a team led by Thampanoor station house officer Jiju Kumar, the accused was produced before the court and remanded in custody.
