The Chairman of the Legislative Council Gutta Sukender Reddy emphasized the need to instill in the values of the mother tongue and culture from students from an early age and warned that current trends distanced children from their language roots.
He spoke on the program organized by Telangana Sahitya Parishat, where the book “Telangana Bhasha-Samagra Parishilan” (Telangana Language-Complex Overview), written by the founder of the Telangan council and founder for Profid Gant Jalandhar Reddy.
The book was published by the Vice -Chairman of the Board of State Planning G. Chinn Reddy. On this occasion, the book was dedicated to Mr. Sukhender Reddy.
Mr. Sukhender Reddy said that the preservation of language and culture was only possible in school campuses and through teachers’ efforts. When the language and culture are lost, the bonds between teachers and students, parents and children become artificial, he noted. The protection and support of Teluga was an urgent necessity, which is achieved mainly through government schools.
Mr. Chinna Reddy said that Telugu came from the Telangan area, not in Andhra Pradesh, and followed his existence from the period of Satavahany to the era of the last Nizam. The influence of Urda in Telangana, especially in Hyderabad, which he described as “mini India”, formed a dialect, added.
