Karnataka FDA seized drugs worth ₹4,000 from illegal storage

The Drugs Enforcement Wing of the Karnataka Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) on Sunday raided unlicensed e-commerce warehouses and seized large stocks of unauthorized drugs.

According to details shared by officials, the crackdown on the illegal storage and distribution of drugs followed accurate intelligence regarding serious violations.

While one team led by Manohar, Assistant Drug Controller (ADC) of the State Intelligence Branch, raided a unit at Anekal, another team led by Vibha, Drug Inspector, Bangalore Rural, raided another unit at Devanahalli.

Mr. Manohar along with other drug inspectors raided the unlicensed premises of Amazon Seller Services Private Limited located in Thattanahalli, Anekal taluk and seized drugs worth ₹2,45,352. These drugs were stored without a valid drug license.

At the same time, the team at Devanahalli seized illegally stored medicines worth ₹1,57,000 from another unlicensed Amazon facility at Aerospace Park.
