Instagram and Facebook do not work in the US: Meta, the parent company of Facebook, said on Friday that some users are having trouble accessing its social media platforms.

More than 62,000 users reported problems with Facebook, while more than 8,000 reports were recorded for Instagram as of 10:11 a.m. ET, according to outage-tracking website Downdetector. Downdetector compiles outage data based on user-submitted reports and information collected from multiple sources.

Company spokesperson Andy Stone reached out to X and mentioned, “We’re aware that people are currently having issues accessing our services. We’re working on it.”
