Government of Kerala. they form a transport coordination committee

The Government of Kerala has constituted a Transport Coordination Committee to streamline the various services provided by various agencies and institutions under the Ministry of Transport.

According to Transport Minister CP John, the committee was formed to improve coordination between various institutions under the ministry, ensure timely implementation of policy decisions and ensure better transport services for the public.

The minister said the committee will contribute to strengthening communication and coordination between various agencies and institutions in the transport sector, enabling them to provide high quality and timely services to the public.

The committee, chaired by the Transport Minister and convened by the Department Secretary, will include the Transport Commissioner, Road Safety Commissioner, Director of Water Transport Department, Chairman and Managing Director of KSRTC, Managing Director of KTDFC and Director General of the Metropolitan Transport Authority, among others.

It was also decided that the agenda of each meeting would be prepared in advance and that the Transport Coordination Committee would meet at least once a month, a statement issued by the minister said.
