French Open Day 2 schedule: Iga Swiatek, Elena Rybakina off to a good start

Day two of the 2026 French Open brings packed opening round action with top stars starting their campaigns on all three courts. Iga Swiątek and Elena Rybakina headline the action on Center Court as they launch their title bids in Paris.

Opening round action continues on day two of the 2026 French Open at Roland Garros with some big names lighting up the clay-court major.

On Court Philippe-Chatrier, world No.3 Iga Swiatek headlines the day as she opens her title bid against Emerson Jones, with the Polish star again expected to set the standard on her favorite surface. Swiatek won the title four times and is one of the strongest candidates to win the trophy.

Second at Chatrier, World No.2 Elena Rybakina opens her campaign against Veronika Erjavecová, aiming for a good start in a draw full of dangerous floaters. The home crowd will then turn their attention to the all-French clash between Hugo Humbert and Adrian Mannarino, before the night session brings more entertainment as Hugo Gaston takes on veteran Gael Monfils.

On Court Suzanne-Lenglen, action continues with Arthur Rinderknech against Yuri Rodionov, followed by Elina Svitolina against Anna Bondar. Rising stars and established players clash as Amanda Anisim takes on Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah, while Ben Shelton takes on Daniel Merida in one of the most exciting matches of the day.

On Court Simonne-Mathieu, Jasmine Paolini opens her campaign against Dayana Yastremska, while former champion Stan Wawrinka takes on Jesper de Jong. Casper Ruud begins his journey at the French Open against Roman Safiullin and Karolína Muchová ends the day’s program against Anastasia Zakharova.
