
Officials warned farmers and fishermen not to break into the river Krishna and its tributaries in the districts of Belagavi and Bagakot after the release of water from Maharashtra’s reservoirs on Friday crossed 2.5 Lakh Cusecs.
However, the rainfall retreated in the districts of Belagavi and Bagakot. Up to 12 colors bridge-cum in the district of Belagavi and three in Bagalkot remained immersed. Commanders use alternative routes.
This is the first time this month, when the release exceeded the level of alert to 2.4 Lakh Cusecs. The level of danger is around 2.9 Lakh Cusecs, the officials said.
The total discharge on the interstate border meter in the Kallol package was 2 51 333 CUSECS. This is 24,626 CUSECS more than Thursday.
Increasing or reducing the layout in Kallol packaging depends on the rainfall in the Mahari and release basin and the release from the dams, the officials said.
Horharagi Barrage was 2.26 Lakh Cusecs and 2,25 Lakh Cusecs. The current storage is zero.
Reservoir Lal Bahadur Shastri on Krišná recorded the tide of 2.38 lacquer and drain 2.5 lakh CUSECS. In order to reduce the chances of flooding in the Backwater dam, officials reduced gross storage to 96.862 TMCFT compared to full capacity of 123 TMCFT. At the beginning of August it was 120 TMCft.
Raja Lakhamagouda reservoir on Ghataprabha in Hidkal has 50 TMCFT against full capacity of 51 TMCft. The tide was 27 109 CUSECS and a drain of 27 579 CUSECS.
The Renuka Sagar dam on Malaprabha has 34 TMCFT against a full capacity of 37 TMCFT. The tide was 7 592 CUSEC and the drain was 6 794 CUSECS.
