TESLA CEO Elon Musk set out on the Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz, who criticized him for ridicule the decline in Tesla’s stock prices. Musk described Walz as a “huge jerk” after Democrat publicly joking about the performance of Tesla at the beginning of this month.
“I think you have Tim Walz, who is a huge jerk, you know, running on stage with the price of the Tesla shares, where the stock price went half and was excited,” Musk said. “What bad thing to do. What a complete. What a jerk.”
“Like, who derives joy?” He added.
Walz’s notes on Tesla’s stock
During the Wisconsin event at the beginning of this month, Walz, who led in the elections to 2024 together with Vice President Kamal Harris, mocked Tesla with shares that traded for $ 225 per share at that time – convicted 54% from his peak at the end of last year.
“Some of you know that. On the iPhone they have the small warehouse app. I added Tesla to support me a little during the day – $ 225 and dropped,” Walz said on stage. “And if one of your own, we won’t blame you. You can take a dental thread and pull a thing of Tesla.”
Walz is trying to go back comments
Walz turned to the will and tried to alleviate his attitude during the town hall in Minnesota. He admitted that his notes could have gone too far.
“This guy bothers me in a way that is probably unhealthy,” Walz said with reference to Muska. “I have to be careful when I have a Smartka-I have a joke. These people have no sense of humor. They are the most shaded people.”
“But my opinion was that everyone was crazy and I said something I shouldn’t have about society,” he added.
MUSK: Government role hurts Tesla
Musk also claimed that his involvement in government affairs had negatively influenced his businesses rather than helping them.
“In fact, it is disadvantageous for me to be in the government, not advantageous,” Musk said. “My companies suffer because I am in the government,” he said, pointing to increasing attacks on Tesla sellers, vehicle owners and charging stations.
“Do you think it helps sales, if, do you know, business representation is bombarded? Of course not.”
Musk to new tariffs
Musk also considered the new 25% Trump Administration on foreign vehicles and parts and noted that while the measure prefers domestic car manufacturers, Tesla is still affected.
“To be clear, it will affect the price of Tesla parts that come from other countries. The cost impact is not trivial,” he wrote on a separate post, adding: “It is important to realize that Tesla is not unharmed. The tariff impact on Tesla is still significant.”
Muska’s comments emphasize the ongoing tensions between his leadership, government policies and political personalities, as Tesla navigates the fluctuations of shares, public control and developing business regulations.
