Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Iltija Mufti on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) described cow vigilantes operating in Jammu and Kashmir as “terrorists” and sought justice for the family of an 18-year-old youth from Ramban who was allegedly targeted on the Jammu-Ramban highway while he was transporting cats.
“The incident has raised serious concerns with allegations that he was targeted by so-called cow vigilantes. These vigilantes are terrorists who harass Muslims. The police must take strict action against those involved,” said Ms Mufti, who visited the family in Ramban.
