Cockroach Janta Party launches new X handles after previous account suspension; gains 23k followers in 90 minutes | Today’s news

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has created a new account on X, hours after its earlier account with over 200,000 followers was banned by the microblogging platform.

The new clique has 23.8 thousand followers within the first 90 minutes of its creation. “Thought you could get rid of us? Lol,” said a party from the clique @Cockroachisback.

The account was previously held in India by its founder Abhijeet Deepka he said days after launching an unofficial political party. The former X CJP handle was denied in response to a legal request. The Instagram account was active with 14.8 million followers as of this report.

Janta cockroach party (CJP), a satirical political collective that emerged last week, broke the internet with over 6,000 sign-ups until its X account was seized in India.

X typically pulls accounts based on a lawful request. Such action will occur if the platform receives a “valid and properly defined request from an authorized entity” and when “it may be necessary from time to time to deny access to certain content in a specific country,” according to the rules.
