A day after they faced police action during their ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, protesters from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) were seen cleaning the premises at Jantar Mantar. Several student volunteers took the initiative to sweep the area and clear the trash to restore order at the protest site.
Viral videos showed early-morning scenes that showed protesters cleaning up the polluted, wet grounds with brooms and garbage bags between tents and makeshift shelters.
Thousands of protesters taking part in the parliamentary march of the cockroach Janta party were lathi-charged and tear gassed on Monday.
Chaos reigned in the area with security forces using batons, lathis and tear gas to disperse the restive mobs near Constitution Club, Patel Chowk, Shastri Bhawan, RBI Building and Parliament Street Police. The internet was down in much of the area.
It was also the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed several adjournments amid uproar by opposition members over the CJP-led protest that began at Jantar Mantar.
The agitation continued on Tuesday, with hundreds of students and supporters returning to Jantar Mantar and insisting on their original demand for an apology from Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the NEET fiasco.

Govt wasted time: Dipke on talks with Nadda
Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Tuesday questioned the government’s proposal to open talks with his organisation, saying it engaged in dialogue with the CJP while carrying out police crackdown on protesters.
“The government wasted our time. They invited our delegation. They seized their mobiles. Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das were in a way under house arrest at JP Naddy’s residence,” Dipke said while addressing his supporters at Jantar Mantar, where the protest against the NEET paper leak issue entered its 32nd day.
“The whole plan was to disperse the team so that when there is chaos, no one is there. That’s why they let them sit for five hours and waste our time. On the one hand, you call for talks and on the other hand, you unleash batons,” he claimed.
The center did not respond to the allegations.
