Anmol Bishnoi, brother of dreaded gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and accused of murdering NCP leader Baba Siddique, has been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on extradition from the US.
Bishnoi was charged by the NIA in 2023 for various crimes, including actively supporting terrorism.
He is the 19th accused arrested by the NIA for his involvement in the terror syndicate led by his brother Lawrence.
Here’s a look at all the allegations against him:

2. They hurt terrorist syndicates from abroad: The NIA also said that Anmol, in close ops with his Bishnoi gang associates, ran terror syndicates and executed terror acts while based outside the US.
3. Involved in extortion: The investigation also revealed that Bishnoi was involved in extortion in India “from foreign soil” with the help of other gangsters.
4. He provided logistical support: Anmol also provided logistical support to gunmen and ground operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to the NIA.

Anmol, one of the co-accused in the Baba Siddique murder case, was in contact via Snapchat with the gunmen who committed the crime, according to a HT report.
The publication also reveals that Anmol, who is also known as ‘Bhanu’, was involved in ordering Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s hit song.
An NIA officer, while speaking to the publication, revealed that Anmol worked as a master handler for his brother Lawrence and as part of his role was involved in running extortion rackets, coordinating tasks with the group’s ground operatives and also issuing threats.
“His presence abroad helped the syndicate build links with criminal groups in West Asia, East Africa and North America,” the official said.
Anmol was detained in the US in November 2024 and his deportation proceedings took a year before being concluded on Tuesday 18 November.
He was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to HT, for a fake passport and was being held at the Pottawattamie County Jail in Iowa.
According to NDTV, Anmol used the name ‘Bhanu Pratap’ in his fake passport.
