Congress claims BJP used AI to beautify Patna in viral video, targets PM: ‘If Modi is there, then there is fraud’ | Today’s news
The Congress on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that a video featuring Bihar’s capital Patna was created using artificial intelligence and shared on social media as a depiction of developments in the city.
The opposition party claimed that the video, which featured highly developed roads and infrastructure, was later deleted after users allegedly pointed out that the visuals were not authentic.
The allegation sparked a fresh political confrontation online, with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) joining in, which took a swipe at the BJP in the clip.
Congress claims the video was created by AI
Sharing screenshots of the now-deleted post on X, the Congress accused the BJP of using artificial intelligence to create misleading visuals.

The party claimed that the video was released under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was taken down after social media users identified it as AI-generated content.
In a post on X, the official handle of Congress said:
“Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, BJP released a fake video generated by AI. People got caught in their deception and now the video has been deleted.”
The party further criticized the Prime Minister, adding:
“The hollow image of the wily Modi rests on such lies, but now their falsehood will not fly.
The Congress did not end there. In a separate post, he shared two videos side-by-side. According to the party, one of the clips was an AI-generated version allegedly circulated by the BJP, while the other showed what it described as “the real Bihar”.
The caption was attached to the post:
“If Modi is there, then it is a scam.
TMC joins the criticism
The Trinamool Congress also weighed in on the controversy, mocking the video and claiming that Patna had undergone an “AI makeover” before seeing real development under the BJP government.
Sharing the clip on X, the page wrote:
“Rather beautiful AI – evolved AI.”
“Patna went through an AI change before it really evolved under the @BJP4India regime!”

The comments added another political dimension to the controversy, with opposition parties using the episode to question the BJP’s claims about developments in Bihar.
The video is missing from BJP’s main handle
Amid the controversy, questions have been raised about the status of the video on the BJP’s social media platforms.
A Hindustan Times review reportedly found that the video could not have been posted on the BJP’s official X handle, where the Congress claimed it was originally posted.
However, the same video was found on the official handle of BJP Bihar.
The development sparked further online debate, with opposition leaders claiming the clip had been removed following criticism.

BJP re-uploads the video
Despite the allegations, the BJP’s national X handle later reposted the video.
According to reports, user @BJP4India re-uploaded the clip after opposition parties questioned its authenticity and accused the party of using AI-generated visuals.
The BJP did not publicly respond to the specific allegations of the Congress and the TMC at the time the controversy gained traction online.
