Delhi CM Rekha Gupta blasts ‘dharna king’ Congress, AAP over CJP protest against SIR, CEC: ‘Why no protest in Punjab?’ | Today’s news

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday slammed the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

She called the CJP, AAP’s “B-Team”, and accused opposition parties and other organizations of “collaborating with foreign elements” to harm India.

Accusing the Congress and AAP of being the “dharna king (protest king)” and causing trouble in Delhi, Rekha Gupta asked why they were not targeting Punjab.

“Why no protest in Punjab?”

At a press conference, Gupta called on AAP to protest in Punjab against the killing of an anti-drug activist there and asked, “Where does this CJP go when there are problems in these states?”

Gupta raised questions about the law and order situation in Punjab: “Why don’t you focus on Punjab? Just yesterday there was a murder in the state. Drug rackets are operating there. Common people cannot raise their voice.”

VIDEO | Responding to a question about the series of protests in the capital Delhi, CM Rekha Gupta says, “It is surprising that the Special Intensive Review (SIR) is being challenged in this way, even though it is not being done for the first time in the country. Such reviews have been done on many occasions by the Election Commission over the years. This has been the practice, irrespective of which party has emerged at the central level. Why are such objections being raised now?”

“Today Delhi has suffered losses worth thousands of crores of rupees. Traders are in distress and the public is suffering. It is only because of them. Why do you want to hold sit-ins and protests? You want to oppose the system working in a democracy just because you have failed to form a government. I want to ask… if you form a government in Tamil Nadu or Kerala states, you will not have such a problem only in the states where it is concerned, you will have such a problem. form a government when in these states will find problems, why is he not going there, after yesterday’s drug-related murder, why is it not working as the “B-Team” of the Aam Aadmi Party? that they have no political future in sight. The people of the country are fully satisfied with the development work being done under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government.

“Why is he not going there to hold protests? Now, after yesterday’s drug-related murder, why is the CJP not going to Punjab and holding a protest? Why is he functioning as the ‘B-Team’ of the Aam Aadmi Party, working only on a political agenda mediated by the Aam Aadmi Party?” Gupta asked.

She said, “It has been the policy of the Congress to assert a sense of entitlement over everything that happens in the country. With this backlash, the Huns are disturbing the nation, deceiving the public and creating trouble for the entire country to serve their political agenda. Today, Delhi has suffered a loss of crores of rupees; traders and the general public are facing immense hardship.”

“Delhi suffered losses”

Rekha Gupta also accused opposition parties of “loss worth thousands of crores of rupees” due to the protest. She said that Delhi has suffered losses of thousands of crores of rupees and traders and common people have been harassed due to their protests.

“Delhi has suffered losses worth thousands of crores of rupees today only because of them. The traders are in distress and the public is suffering. It is only because of them. Why do you want to hold sit-ins and protests? You want to oppose the system working in democracy just because you failed to form the government,” said Rekha Gupta.

“It’s not the first time SIR”

Gupta questioned the Opposition’s objections to the Special Intensive Review (SIR), saying the exercise was not being conducted for the first time and citing the previous review in Delhi in 2002.

Gupta targeted the Congress and AAP for their electoral performance in the state capital. She criticized political parties for their opposition to the SIR, pointing out that these parties never talk about the exercise in states where they have won elections.

Gupta said, “It is quite surprising as SIR is not happening for the first time in the country. Why were such objections not raised then? The last SIR in Delhi was held in 2002. There was a Congress government at the Center then; yet Congress was able to win even a single seat in Delhi after 2015? Was there a reason for SIR?”

She added, “The public has completely rejected the Congress and that is the reason for the resentment of these parties. I also want to ask the Aam Aadmi Party: everything was fine when your government came to power after SIR, but now that the people of Delhi have rejected you, suddenly you remember the protests and sit-ins.”

‘Agreement with Foreign Elements’

Rekha Gupta said, “Congress and these parties are all working together. They see that the public is consistently rejecting them and that they have no political future in sight. The people of the country are fully satisfied with the development work being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

She said that the Congress and other secret organizations feel rejected by the people after the election losses as the public is happy with the development works of the Modi government and the progress of the country.

“That is why they are trying to harm the country in collaboration with foreign elements who are envious of India,” Gupta said. “After losing power, they are hurt and that’s why they are troubling the whole country because of their political ambitions,” she added.
