Chief Justice of India Surya Kant not to meet bloc leaders INDIA: CJI refuses to share reasons | Follow | Today’s news

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant spoke about the protest march of the INDIA block. He also addressed the bloc’s request to meet with him.

CJI Surya Kant said he had received their letter dated October 10. As he was out of the capital, he received it on Sunday and answered it last night.

“I gave several reasons for my inability to meet them.

When asked about the specific reasons why he could not meet the leader of the INDIA bloc, he refused to share them.

“I would ask you to ask them to release the contents of that letter. I would like to keep that letter confidential,” he told reporters.

The CJI also said that the doors of the Supreme Court are open to everyone. Any ordinary citizen or elected member can file a petition.

“Every Indian citizen has the right to go to court and we will listen to their concerns and comply with all that is due to them in law,” he said.
