Abhijeet Dipke stated that Cockroach Janta Party’s protest against Gyanesh Kumar will continue. Since October 10, Delhi has been experiencing massive protests against the Chief Election Commissioner, demanding his resignation.
“We have not signed any bond saying we will not protest. We will hit the streets again,” CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were released earlier on Sunday morning. As of Saturday, October 10, they were arrested as a precaution.
All three were detained on the plane after it landed in Delhi. They were produced before the Delhi Cantonment Executive Magistrate’s Court on Sunday. They were released on one condition. He must not cause any “breach of the peace” for a year, NDTV said, citing insiders.
Their arrest took place on the second day of the planned protest. The protest was against CEC Gyanesh Kumar. It related to alleged irregularities in the cleansing of the electoral roll under the SIR.
Delhi Police said all legal procedures were followed. Police said the CJP activists were produced before the court on October 11. Warranty card ₹50,000 was given for keeping the peace and good behaviour. Valid for one year.
