Bengaluru-Mumbai travel time reduced by 7-8 hours with Vande Bharat Sleeper: How it differs from Udyan Express | Today’s news

Commuters from Bengaluru to Mumbai are in for a big relief as Indian Railways is planning a new Vande Bharat Sleeper train between the two cities which is expected to start later this month connecting KSR Bengaluru and Mumbai CSMT. According to a Times of India report, the semi-high speed train is expected to reduce travel time by 7-8 hours. Currently, Udyan Express is the only direct daily train between KSR Bengaluru and Mumbai CSMT which takes almost 24 hours.

The Vande Bharat night train should cover the distance in less than 16 hours.

The high-speed train connecting the Karnataka capital and the financial capital of India will be the second Vande Bharat Sleeper train after the launch of the first line between Guwahati and Howrah.

The proposed Bengaluru-Mumbai Vande Bharat train is expected to fulfill the long-standing demand of commuters who have been looking for faster rail connectivity for more than 30 years.
