FlyDubai incident is an ‘act of terrorism’

Gargash on X said Captain Smit Machchhar was a “true hero” and deserved “every accolade as he embodied the true meaning of courage and responsibility in the face of a serious act of terrorism and potential disaster”.

Earlier, Israeli Consul General in Mumbai Yaniv Revach condemned the incident as an act of terror.

Revach told news agency ANI: “First of all, I don’t think it could be a terrorist attack. It is a terrorist attack. So there is no question or doubt about it. First of all, we want to express our deepest gratitude on behalf of the State of Israel and the people of Israel. And we would like to acknowledge the exceptional behavior of Captain Smit Machchhar.”

“I’m sorry to say this, but Israel has been on high alert for 80 years. This is nothing new. We are used to being threatened by a terrorist organization,” he added.
