The Indian, who has spent almost a decade in Canada, says the country has undergone significant changes, especially in terms of the costs and pressures of everyday life.
Sharing his insights in an Instagram video, Amar Nath Puri said that higher expenses, work pressure and financial responsibility have changed the way people experience life in Canada. He also weighed in on the country’s immigration debate, arguing that immigrants should not be blamed for every problem the country faces.

Puri’s comments come as Canada continues to be a top destination for Indians seeking jobs, permanent residency (PR) and better economic opportunities.
“This is not the same Canada”
Reflecting on his experiences living in Canada for almost 10 years, Puri wrote in the caption of his Instagram post: “I’ve lived in Canada for almost ten years and I can honestly tell you that it’s not the same Canada. Canada has changed and we need to talk about it. I’ve been here for almost ten years and honestly, Canada has changed a lot. Life seems harder and more expensive, people are just more expensive. “And I’m not saying that Canada is a bad country. But if you’re planning to come here and think only about PR, work or a better future, you need to understand the Canada you’re actually coming to. Because immigration can change your life, but Canada has also changed. After almost ten years here, I can honestly say that you should know the reality before you decide to come,” he added.
