The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has shared a list of 18 metro stations that will remain closed on Saturday, July 25 amid the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Janata Mantar. However, it said that the exchange facility will be available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.

Airport Express Line
DMRC said that train services on the Airport Express Line will be available only between Dhaula Kuan and Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25.
Sharing an update on the metro connectivity, DMRC posted on X saying, “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
The restrictions came as security measures remain in place in central Delhi in view of the ongoing protest by the Cockroach Janata Party, which has attracted large rallies in Jantar Mantar and nearby areas in recent days.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said on Friday: “We have been informed that a much bigger crowd is expected tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday. That is why the government is trying to detain or arrest us tonight. If that happens, it will be another big mistake. When Sonam Sir was taken away, the movement only got stronger.”
“When the students were charged and injured with lathis, the protests intensified. If we are also detained, the movement will spread further across the country. If the government really wants to solve this, the only solution is Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation,” he said.
Meanwhile, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das also said, “Information received: There are fears that the situation could escalate into a much harsher crackdown in the coming days. But instead of primarily relying on the police, the authorities may use hired groups to provoke violence around Jantar Mantar and surrounding protest sites by impersonating protesters, which could potentially trigger clashes or similar incidents that could be used to further major incidents. response and arrests.”
Sonam Wangchuk has ended her hunger strike
Activist Sonam Wangchuk on Friday ended her 26-day hunger strike after receiving a written assurance from the Union government on the issue of NEET exam and systemic reforms in competitive testing in the country.
He ended his hunger strike in the presence of Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh at Medanta Hospital.
