The MP for Islington North, on the other hand, shared Amnesty International’s post. The post cited “unnecessary and excessive use of force against peaceful protesters.” “The Delhi Police responded with a violent crackdown,” it said.

“The Indian authorities must ensure that all allegations of illegal conduct against the Swabian-led protests are immediately, independently and impartially investigated,” Amnesty International urged in the post.
