The Kerala High Court quashed the sexual harassment case against Boby Chemmanur

The Kerala High Court has quashed the criminal proceedings against businessman Boby Chemmanur in connection with a sexual harassment complaint registered by an actress.

Justice Jobin Sebastian, who was apprised of the settlement that was reached between the actor and Mr. Chemmanur, allowed Mr. Chemmanur’s plea to quash the proceedings pending in the Ernakulam Additional District and Sessions Court.

The actress had earlier informed the court that she was inclined to strike a deal with Mr. Chemmanur after he apologized through social media.

The offense was registered against Mr. Chemmanur in January 2025 after he made sexually charged remarks against the actor during an inaugural function. A special investigation team then arrested Mr. Chemmannur on charges of sexual harassment, making sexually suggestive remarks and publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form.
