The Kerala Government is reviving Prison Advisory Committees

The Government of Kerala has reconstituted Prison Advisory Committees for various prisons across the state.
The Advisory Committees will be chaired by the Director General of Prisons. District Collectors, District and Sessions Judges, District Superintendents of Police and District Probation Officers will serve as members while respective Jail Wardens will act as Secretaries Members. The committees will also include unofficial members nominated by the government.
For Poojappura Central Jail, the government has appointed former vice president Palode Ravi, former District Congress Committee (DCC) president Karakulam Krishnapillai and R. Valsalan as non-official members.
The Viyyur Central Jail Advisory Committee includes Thrissur DCC President Joseph Tajet, Sundaran Kunnathully and Joseph Chalissery.
Kannur Central Jail Committee consists of Kannur DCC President Martin George, Sajeev Maroli and Jayakrishnan.
