Despite the earnings ₹80,000 every month from two flats near Noida Electronic City, a man from Bihar’s Samastipur reportedly continues to work as an Uber driver after suffering a heart attack, determined to prove that his health problems will not stop him.
Aastha Seth shared the man’s story on Instagram and said that he used to work in a relative’s factory in Delhi where he was earning well. After he suffered a heart attack last year, his relative told him that he could no longer handle a job that required physical strength and fired him.
Seth said the man had the option to stop working as he also has ancestral property in Bihar. However, he decided to continue driving for Uber from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and earned extra ₹50,000 per month.
According to Seth, the man set aside two apartments for his two daughters and continues to work to show that a heart attack does not make a person “useless or worthless.”
“He has 2 flats worth 80 lacs in a company near Noida Electronic City. He gets 80k rent every month from these flats. He had a choice and still has the option to stop, rest and stay at home. But he chose to work as an Uber driver,” she wrote, adding, “He works from 10 am to 10 pm and earns 50,000 every month to show that people who have no value are worthless.”
Seth stated that her brief interaction with the man made her think deeply about life and described him as an inspiration to people who often look for reasons to give up.
“This guy is still smiling. And I love the fact that he’s not bragging, he’s just sharing. This 5 minute interaction with this man made me stop and think so much about life. He’s such an inspiration to all of us who need that one reason to stop and quit,” Seth wrote on Instagram.
Her post went viral, with users praising the man’s determination, positivity and commitment despite personal and health issues.
