Raghav Chadha (37) rarely misses an opportunity to emphasize two facts about himself: that he is the youngest member of the Rajya Sabha and that he comes from a non-political family. He believes that these two differences set him apart from most of his parliamentary colleagues.
Born in November 1988 in Delhi, Raghav Chadha studied at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, one of the leading private schools in the capital. He trained as a chartered accountant and passed the exam at the age of 22. After a short stint in the corporate sector, he joined the wave of ambitious young professionals who, through India’s Anti-Corruption Movement, he saw a way into politics—bypassing the traditional paths of student activism or family heritage.
