Pakistan vs. Bangladesh Live Score, 2nd ODI: Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz opted to bat first after winning the toss against Pakistan in the second ODI on Friday as the hosts looked to seal the three-match series after taking an early lead.
Bangladesh dominated the series opener on Wednesday, bowling out Pakistan for just 114 before completing an eight-wicket win. The standout performer was fast bowler Nahid Rana, whose career-best figures of 5-24 dismantled Pakistan’s batting and set up a comfortable chase.
High on confidence, Bangladesh decided to field the same XI that achieved a convincing victory at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. However, Pakistan made a tactical change to boost their pace attack by bringing in Haris Rauf behind leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed.
Pakistan’s young batting line-up, which struggled in the first ODIs, was maintained despite setbacks. Debutants Sahibzada Farhan, Shamyl Hussain, Maaz Sadaqat and Abdul Samad found it difficult to cope with Rana’s pace and Miraz’s spin in the previous match.
By backing the same group again, the Pakistan management seems to want to give the inexperienced batsmen more time at the international level and hope that better conditions will help their bowlers make a bigger impact in the second ODI.
Playing XI:
Pakistan: Sahibzada Farhan, Maaz Sadaqat, Shamyl Hussain, Mohammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Hussain Talat, Abdul Samad, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Mohammad Wasim, Haris Rauf.
