‘I’m sorry for the words I used’: Dentist apologizes after AIDSA suspends her for mocking Ketan Agarwal’s murder | Today’s news
Dr Muskan Soni, a dentist from Madhya Pradesh, has apologized after a video she posted on Instagram mocking the murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal, who was killed by his fiancee and her lover, sparked outrage. The All India Dental Students and Surgeons Association (AIDSA), Madhya Pradesh, on Monday issued a statement that Dr. Muskan Soni has been suspended from the post of treasurer, AIDSA Madhya Pradesh and membership of the association.
“She was found to have committed indiscipline and made highly inappropriate, offensive and disrespectful remarks regarding late Mr. Ketan Agrawal which are in clear violation of the constitution, code of conduct and ethical values of the All India Students and Surgeons Association (AIDSA),” the statement said.

Soni, who according to her LinkedIn profile is a dentist from Jabalpur, posted a video on Instagram talking about Ketan Agarwal’s murder.
“That guy from Pune, he didn’t have hair… When you tell a lie like that, you’re obviously going to die… So hashtag, I hate men,” she said in the video.
Soni was referring to reports that Siya claimed she didn’t want to marry Ketan because her hair was falling and she was using a wig. Ketan’s family denied the reports, clarifying that the matter of the 26-year-old, who suffered from minor hair loss and wearing a wig due to a medical condition, was told to the Siya family before the engagement.
The apology following the video is causing outrage
After the outrage over her video, Soni apologized. I’m very, very sorry for the words I used,” she said in the new video.
She then went on to defend her use of the word “I hate men”, stating that she uses it because of her past life experiences.
Murder of Ketan Agarwal
Ketan Agarwal was pushed to his death on June 18 from Lohagad Siya and Chenan Fort after his fiancee took him there on the pretext of celebrating her birthday. The death was initially ruled an accident, but during the investigation, discrepancies in Siya’s statements and the presence of a person wearing a sweatshirt near the couple made the police suspicious.
After further investigation, Siya and her lover Chetan Chaudhari, who police say was the person seen on CCTV wearing a hoodie, were taken into custody. According to the police, Siya and Chetan were in a relationship before she got engaged to Ketan. Siya reportedly told the police that she did not want to call off the engagement because she feared it would bring her family into disrepute.
Ketan’s family also claimed that Siya sabotaged a planned trip to Bali for a pre-wedding shoot by hiding the victim’s passport while they were on their way to the airport. The family also claimed that just a few days before the fatal fall, Siya had tried to push Ketan down from the Lohagad fort, but that time he had only narrowly escaped.
