Bollywood actress Richa Chadha slammed Deepak Chopra when the Indian author’s name appeared in the Epstein Files. Her response comes in the form of a response to Chopra’s clarification of his alleged involvement with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“I am deeply saddened by the suffering of the victims in this case and unequivocally condemn abuse and exploitation in all forms. I want to be clear: I have never engaged in or engaged in any criminal or exploitative conduct. Any contact I have had has been limited and unrelated to violent activity,” Chopra (now X) wrote on Twitter.

“Some past email exchanges have surfaced that reflect poor judgment in tone. I regret that and understand how they read today, given what was public knowledge at the time. I am focused on promoting accountability, prevention and efforts that protect and support survivors,” he added.
Chopra disabled the comment section.
Jeffrey Epstein seemed to take pride in his spiritual well-being. According to the Epstein Files, the convicted pedophile had a long relationship with Deepak Chopra.
The New Age spiritual healer met with Epstein at least 12 times between 2016 and 2019, according to The Guardian. They apparently met for meditation sessions and discussions about alternative health research funding.

Chopra also attended a small dinner at Epstein’s home in New York with guests including Woody Allen. He later described the evenings as “a blast”.
In November 2016, Epstein texted Chopra about a “troubled woman with a history of drug use.” According to him, she allegedly made up accusations of assaulting Donald Trump and Epstein when she was 13 years old. After Epstein said she was withdrawing her civil suit, Chopra replied, “Okay.”
Many social media users are now referring to Deepak Chopra’s 2009 tweet: “He’s landed in LA. He’ll be playing with the kids all day.”
It has not been verified whether the post had anything to do with Chopra’s connection to Epstein.

Deepak Chopra in The Epstein Files
Deepak Chopra’s emails are listed in the Epstein Files released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ). One particular email exchange raised eyebrows.
“Cells are human constructs. No such thing! The universe is a human construct. No such thing. Cute girls are aware when they make sounds,” wrote Deepak Chopra in one email to Jeffrey Epstein on March 8, 2017.
He further replied, “God is a creation. Cute girls are real.”
Epstein suggestively replied, “So when the girl says, ‘Oh my God’?”

Rich Chadha’s reaction
Richa Chadha used the ‘Vomiting Face’ and ‘disgusted green face’ emojis when she posted her reaction to Chopra’s clarification.
“If life makes you Deepak, be Mohammad, not Chopra,” she wrote.
The post refers to a recent incident that happened in Uttarakhand.

Deepak Kumar, a 37-year-old gym owner from Kotdwar, went viral in January after an incident of communal tension. On January 26, right-wing activists reportedly confronted a 70-year-old Muslim shopkeeper over the word Baba in the name of his shop.
Kumar stepped in to defend him. When asked for a name, he claimed a token Muslim name to counter religious profiling: Mohammad Deepak.
“I said my name is Mohammad Deepak because it was the right thing to do. I am answerable only to God and standing up for a man who was attacked for his religion was the humane thing to do. These protests don’t bother me,” Deepak told The Indian Express.
In an interesting twist, the police later lodged an FIR against Kumar and another man on charges of misappropriation, theft and unlawful assembly. Public reaction remained divided.
Many social media users hailed him as a true hero. Meanwhile, it became a reason for political clashes in the state.
