The city witnesses an increase in tourist traffic, when the hospitality industry shows 100 % occupancy in most hotels from 27 to 2 October 2025.
The operation tends to culminate during the second half of the DaSara, which takes place for 11 days of this year, and all hotels not only in Mysur, but in the surrounding regions, tend to be full for a period.
C. Narayan Gowd from the Association of Hotel Hotels said that almost all hotels in the 3 km circle around the palace report full occupancy, while in other areas there are 90 % occupancy.
The fact that tourist traffic tends to culminate during the second half of the Dasar festival is evident from the statement of the Association, which stated that although the festival began on September 22, the arrival of tourists in Mysur remained normal until September 26. For the first five days, the trade was lower than usual, according to the association.
In fact, restaurants in the city witnessed a 50 % decline in their common business earnings due to the Dasar Food Festival festival.
Mr. Narayana Gowda attributed it to food stalls that were set up everywhere, as at Yuva Dasara’s exhibition inside a flower show near Yuva Dasar and where cultural programs were held.
” With hundreds of grocery stalls spread in these places, the restaurant business in the city was negligible during these five days, “Mr. Gowda said.
Since September 27, however, the tickling of tourists has changed to an tide and 27. September there was a severe tide of tourists, many of whom returned to Bengalur at the same night.
” Between September 27 and October 2, almost all hotels in the central parts of Mysur achieved 100% occupancy and reservation took place through online platforms, travel agencies and direct walks, “according to the Association.
Also the restaurant since 27 September from 27 September recorded brisk business, while hotels along the Outer Ring Road and at different locations of Mysuru reached about 80% of occupancy, while tourists still available a limited number of rooms.
Mysuru has almost 180 to 200 hotels and almost 8,000 rooms that defend tourists in various categories, from passengers to budget to those who have decided on luxury accommodation. Dasara tends to be one of the peak periods for the hospitality industry and a good reaction to the remaining part of the tourism season, which dates back to the first week of February, which coincides with the end of the academic year and the beginning of the tests.
