Narasaraopet MP and TDP floor leader Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu on Monday urged South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava to resolve several long pending railway issues affecting public safety and connectivity in Palnadu district. The MP made a detailed statement during a meeting with the CEO in Secunderabad highlighting the gaps in critical infrastructure across many mandals.
Mr. Lavu requested the scr to follow up the unsuccessful tenders and start the work on sanded railway over bridges (robs) on LC no. 27 at pedakurapad, LC no. 40 in sattenaPli and LC no. 81 Near Tumalachruvu in pduguralalla mandar. He also solved the approval of the new Rob on LC No. 53 in blackconda.
The MP called for relocation of LC Gate No. 294 between Girijavolu and Merikapudi villages by 150 meters to increase security. He also demanded the construction of a sidewalk and drainage at the back of the Macherla railway station and the repair of the damaged approach road from the R&B road to the station.
Mr. Lavu emphasized the need to strengthen basic facilities at Gurazala and Rentachintala stations and asked for more buses for the Macherla-Vijayawada MEMU. He sought new train stops at Piduguralla, Pedakurapadu and Perecherla stations for several express services, including the Palnadu Express, Delta Express and the Aurangabad-Guntur train.
He highlighted the safety concerns of late-night travelers and called for increased security measures across the region. GM SCR responded positively and ensured due consideration and prompt action on the issues raised.
