Travel Vlogger Jyoti Rani, arrested for accusation of espionage in May, on Friday (August 29, 2025) looking for a default bail from the Hisar court because the complete Challan was not presented by the police during the set 9 -day period and the investigation is not completed.
The accused, who moved the request for the default bail through his counselor Mukesh Kumar, pointed out that the prosecution failed to submit a complete Challan in the specified period pursuant to Section 187 (2) Bharatiya Nagarik Surraksha Sanhita, “period 90 days in 2025 in 2025.
The prosecutor Mandeep said that the investigation was still waiting and has not yet been completed.
The rite of Chhabaria vs Union of India and others, referring to the case of the Supreme Court, Mr. Kumar claimed that “the fees for completion without completion of the investigation will not throw the right to bail”.
Jyoti was arrested by the Police Hisar 17th May after the registration of the first information report against it according to Sections 3 and 5 (sanctions for espionage and unlawful communication of information) of the Act on the Official Secret of 1923 and Section 152 (criminalization of negotiations that endanger the superstience, unity and integrity of India) in Bharatiya Nyaya, 2024.
